"You're a Femenist?"
She says in a tone, disgusted and half-expecting
"No." I reply meekly
I can't be a Femenist anymore
Feminist now equates to Power hungry man-hating lesbian
Something bad
Back then,
When women were thinking differently
And gathered together
As a strong-willed sisterhood
Demanding a voice in a patriarchal world
Feminism meant equality
Not just between sexes,
But between everybody
A powerful chorus for change
But when we climbed to the top of the hill,
Some wanted to go higher
And became hypocrites
And left us, comfortable with equality
With all the negative stereotypes
Everyone secretly sniggering at us
But the real Feminists didn't care
They went on and stood for equality
Despite the negative attention
Because part of the movement
Was to defy what was traditionally expected of you
By doing something great
And showing them you could do it
And now I know I have to do the same
"No," I replied a bit stronger, "I'm not what you would think a Feminist would be, I don't believe women are superior to men, And I don't believe men are superior to women. I don't believe anyone is superior to anyone by the way they were born. That's what REAL Feminism was about: equality. And if you're going to judge people by negative stereotypes, I'm not going to spend my time crying about it."

I'm just sick of all the people that think all Feminists are just man-hating reverse sexists. I mean, special treatment for women is probably 110% AGAINST what true Feminists stood for. We just want equality. Not power. Unless it's by a fair election lol

I just want to be equal. I don't want to be judged because I'm a woman but as a person. I shouldn't have special treatment because I'm a female, and I shouldn't be treated bad for it either. I'm a human, and I want to be treated like any other.
